Job Description:

Our client has an excellent career opportunity for a Citrix Engineer to join its team in the Atlanta, GA office location. This position is responsible for evaluation, selection, implementation, integration, maintenance, upgrade, documentation, troubleshooting, and instruction of all remote access systems and services. Related duties include configuration and administration of associated software and systems, working with application owners to configure application settings, applying appropriate security measures, and publishing applications.

Responsibilities:
• Work with Network Systems to plan, design, and maintain Firm’s remote access infrastructure
• Build, manage, and troubleshoot multiple Citrix farms and associated components
• Develop and maintain virtual desktop and application publishing standards, policies and procedures
• Monitor system performance, capacity and provide periodic system status reports
• Plan, design, implement, and continuously improve disaster recovery procedures for the virtual environments • Work with application owners to publish and stream applications and desktops using Citrix, AppV and VMWare technologies
• Perform Tier 2 and 3 support functions for Remotes Access issues
• Be part of an on-call rotation to provide 24 hr. Remote Access coverage to users across the Firm • Communicate with vendors as necessary for installation, configuration, technical support, and purchasing issues.
• Conduct ongoing application and desktop publication technology assessments, research new products and features, and develop cost effective recommendations and plans for optimizing Remote Access and virtual environments.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years Windows Terminal Server and Citrix Administration experience (XenApp 4 or later) in an Active Directory environment
• Solid experience building, configuring, and administering Citrix XenApp, Citrix Access Gateway Appliances, Citrix Netscalers, Citrix Web Interface 
• Demonstrable expertDemonstrable experience with other virtualization technologies including VMWare and AppV 
• Architectural and hands-on experience in various remote access gateway solutions 
• Working knowledge of Wide Area Networks and Internetworking 
• Significant knowledge of Windows 2000/2003/XP/2008 and Office 2007 and later
• Significant knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure technologies, including DHCP, DNS, WINS, Active Directory 2003, Group Policy Objects and scripting 
• Familiarity with enterprise security systems and procedures including RSA and PGP they will be working with 4000 workstations and 3700 end users nationally for all 30 branches
